... this is a post that is a weird experiment. Usually, I'm writing them from actual computers; this time, however, I don't have one, and yet I still have to publish one today (because Beeminder).
Thus... there is an Emacs running on my desktop that I just remote desktop-ed into!
It's... interesting. The remote desktop app does have some keys for Ctrl and Alt, and even autocorrect / autocomplete works; in addition, I get to use Emacs keys like "delete previous word" and such, plus cursor movement with Ctrl+N etc. It's... a weird combo; also, understandably, typing is way slower, so there might be a somewhat longer, more comprehensive review of all this later!
(... also making use of the fact that this is #100DaysToOffload, so .. low quality articles!!!)
Update: there is an actual, more reasonable part 2 of this now!
... comments welcome, either in email or on the (eventual) Mastodon post on Fosstodon.
